What is the relationship between connection, perception and competent communication?

Connection improve the tendencety for individuals to be opened and communicate with other individuals.
Perception will help the both communicating individuals to understand each other's point of view.
Without these two factors, competent communication that aimed so both individuals fully get what they want from the communication wouldn't ever happen.
