This is a very tricky question. There are many opinions for this question, but let's begin by eliminating the two that would be the worst ways.

Even if you agree to try it only once, there's no saying that you won't get addicted and start craving more, therefore this wouldn't be the smartest decision. 

If you find a friend to join you, you will only be putting them in harm's way as well, might even get them addicted. Or this could mean that you find a friend to join you and you both refuse. By the lack of depth in the answer, I will say that this is my first explanation, therefore it is not a good idea.

You could accept the product but not smoke it which could get them off your back, and then afterwards you just dispose of the product. However, I believe that sometimes curiosity gets in the way of someone's well being, maybe you could forget to dispose of it.
